Does the beach trolley really work on sand?
Yes, our beach trolley works extremely well on sand. Because it has wide, chunky wheels, they cover a larger surface area. This helps to evenly distribute the weight of the trolley (and the load you're carrying) to prevent it sinking into soft, sandy ground. Also, the deep-tread design of the wheels prevents them slipping and sliding if you're using it on sand and sodden ground.
Can I use the folding beach trolley on grass?
Yes, our beach trolley isn't just great for the beach, but camping and festivals, too. Its chunky all-terrain wheels make it suitable for using on sand, grass, concrete - even gravel! They also have a deep-tread design for excellent grip on a variety of surfaces. Plus, the front wheels rotate 360-degrees, allowing it to easily tackle bumpy, uneven ground when carrying your gear.
Can I carry a child in the beach trolley?
No, we wouldn't advise it. With its heavy-duty steel frame and 600D polyester liner, the beach trolley supports a maximum weight of 60kg. So, a child weighing under 60kg could, conceivably, sit inside the trolley without it breaking. However, the liner doesn't contain any padding. As a result, it's uncomfortable to sit in and provides little protection from the tough steel frame.

Lovely, good quality trolley - we used this on a recent holiday and we loved it. Put everything we needed in it (including our 3yr old). It was easy to unfold and steering was great. It looks lovely and well made too plus it wasn't as expensive as a lot of others we had seen as been looking for a while.
It is, obviously, at it's best on pavement but it did a good job on a sandy beach and even a pebbly one was ok but we did just need to evacuate the child to lighten the load a bit - but honestly it was as we had expected.

Worked great for taking things down to the beach on holiday. Pretty easy to steer and it coped over sand/pebbles (though was harder going as expected). You have to make sure front wheels are facing the right way when you collapse it to make it go as small as it does. Takes up quite a bit of space in the boot even when collapsed so I ended up packing things in the gaps in its framework in order to fit it in on the journey to our holiday destination. I'd give it 5 stars but the handle will not lie flat back when it's up. We would have liked to have left it all fully loaded in the boot for ease moving between beach locations once on the holiday but couldn't because the handle sits up like it does in the picture so you can't close the boot so you have to collapse it every time (unless you have a tall boot like in a 4x4).

Brilliant bit of kit, first use at music festival and made the transferring of kit from van to site so much easier. Easy to fold out and put away and sits neatly in back of van when folded flat. I would definitely recommend the wider wheels if you are going to use on mixed terrain, on leaving no festival site it was raining and mucky underfoot, some folk were struggling a wee bit with skinny wheeled trolleys but this bad boy/girl coped with no problem.

I researched beach trolleys for ages before deciding on this one. I had also looked at various ones other people actually had at the beach and from that knew I needed one with wider wheels. This one appears to be very well made, so easy to put up and down. I haven’t had a chance to actually use it yet on a Sandy beach which is the reason I purchased it, however, due to the way the wheels are positioned and that the front ones swivel I think it’s exactly what I wanted.

A great trolley for the beach! The large wheels glide effortlessly across the sand, as long as you avoid any sandcastle trenches, as this can cause the trolley to tip. We loaded it with 2 paddle boards, 3 body boards, a beach tent, wind break, small cooler bag, 3 fold out beach mat loungers, a picnic blanket, wet suits and towels, and it was fine to pull along the beach (my 12yo pulled it) For the first time it meant that we only had to do one trip from the car to the beach. And I’m sure it would be great at festivals too. It’s a bit bulky when folded down and not terribly light at just over 10kg which meant a re-jig when packing the boot of the car, but it was worth it! It’s easy to put up and back down again too.

Far exceeds cheaper alternatives that I saw both whilst browsing beach trollies & when on the beach on holiday. They’re a very popular item now and this one has tons of room and is very robust. We loaded it to the hilt and then used elastic bungee cords to secure everything.

I love this thing. I wasafter one for so long. We live on a culder-sack which means parking can be tricky, so we walk all the shopping back in the trolley, we use it for dog walks too so our LG can jump in when she gets tired. She prefers it to her push chair. I can't wait to use it through out the summer and on the beach.
It folds up easy enough. The only disappointment is the handle, its hard plastic and because of its length it sits on the floor when folded which means it gets scratched easily making it uncomfortable to pull. I plan on buying some cycling tape to put around it.

Fully loaded for a family of 6 on soft sand the wheels still turned, it still moved perfectly across the many Cornish beaches we visited. I was worried it would be dragging in the sand, but it was brilliant. We had a huge amount of kit, loads of chairs, beach tents, wind breaks, which naturally made it heavy to pull, so a normal amount would work even better! Couldn’t have done without it.

Purchased the beach trolley as a last minute decision for our holiday - very robust, smart, lots of compliments. Arrived very quickly, even just using the standard delivery option, well packaged and easy instructions. Very pleased with both the product and the service. The only problem i've had is the back wheels, sliding them along the bar to fold up the trolley. One of them is very stiff and despite using WD40 and other methods its still very difficult to use. However, I am still very pleased with the trolley, and how much i can cram into it (inc my 3.5 year old!). I've used it on firm sand and a stoney beach and been brilliant, not tried it on soft sand but with the wide tyres i think it'll perform fine. I would recommend this to ayone

Folds out easily. Would have helped if instructions had said to strap bottom Velcro fasteners to the frame to fold up again but easily worked out. Not taken to the beach yet because of the weather but looks sturdy, easy to manoeuvre and large enough to hold everything we need.

Fantastic trolley. Very easy to erect and dismantle. very sturdy frame and huge all terrain wheels. It steers like a dream, you wouldn’t even know you were pulling it and it adjusts to uneven and bumpy grounds so well. We’ve only used it to a country park so far, but it was invaluable and made life so much easier than carrying everything. I’d definitely recommend

This is a great product. It is sturdy and relatively easy to steer - the front wheel turn with the holding arm.
I havent used it on sand yet but in the pack, over pavements, a bridge and bumpy ground it was fine.
It is VERY easy to unpack (it has a canvas holder at top with 2-click straps) and very easy to put back down.
One comment is that it is pretty heavy but that is what you get with a quality product. The wheels are massive and have tread so i suspect it will be fine on sand

The first thing you notice is that the wheels are bigger than you expected, but they need to be. We have put this product to the test and it has been brilliant.
