Air Tent FAQs
The big questions answered.
What are the benefits of an air tent over a pole tent?
For starters, they're faster and easier to pitch because the air poles come pre-attached with no fitting needed. Air tents are also taller and wider than regular tents to give you extra headroom and living space. Plus, they're more robust. Whereas regular poles are prone to snapping in windy weather, air poles absorb pressure for greater strength and stability.
How long does it take to put up an air tent?
Pitching an air tent is super-fast and easy, taking no more 15-20 minutes, and even less time with experience. Simply peg down the corners of the tent, then inflate the air poles using the pump included. Next, peg down the remaining peg points and guy-lines. Finally, attach the bedroom pods and groundsheet if your tent doesn't have a groundsheet sewn-in already.
Can I use an electric pump to inflate an air tent?
We don't recommend using any pump, other the manual pump included with our air tents. The size and structure of the air poles means they take little time and effort to inflate with the manual pump. So, even if you could use an electric pump, there's no reason you'd ever need to. Besides, not all campsites have electric hook up pitches to use an electric pump.
Are spare air poles available for your air tents?
While we don’t sell air poles separately, we do hold them in stock as free spares for customers. The good news is you'll probably never need one because they're super-tough and built to last. In the rare event you do, drop us a message and we'll send one free of charge. However, if you've owned your tent for a long time, you may need to pay a small fee.
