Why Do I Need a Tent Footprint and Carpet?

When purchasing a tent or awning, you may see the option to add a footprint or carpet to your order.

All our tents include everything you need to get started on your camping trip. However, we recommend adding a footprint and carpet to help protect your tent and make your camping experience even more comfortable.

Tent Footprint

Designed to sit underneath your tent to protect the groundsheet from dirt, damp and sharp or stony ground. This helps prolong the lifespan of your tent while providing an extra layer of insulation between you and the ground.

Tent Carpet

Designed to be used inside your tent, on top of the groundsheet. A waterproof base helps protect against ground damp, while the soft, fleecy top and foam core provide added comfort and warmth underfoot.

When you select a tent, we’ll automatically include the correct size footprint and/or carpet with your order.
