Temperature Ratings

Knowing which sleeping bag to choose for the season you're camping depends on the amount of filling inside it. While summer sleeping bags contain less filling, winter sleeping bags contain more to keep you extra warm and toasty. Like most camping specialists, we measure the filling in grams per square metre, or GSM. So, the higher the GSM, the warmer it is to sleep in.

100gsm (1 season sleeping bag)

200gsm (2 season sleeping bag)

Great for late spring and early autumn, as well as cooler summer weather.

300gsm (3 season sleeping bag)

A top choice for colder spring and autumn nights. Plus, mild winter weather.

Super warm and snug, making it perfect for those f-f-f-frosty winter nights.

Types of Sleeping Bag

Mummy Sleeping Bags (300gsm)

Tapered at the feet to keep you tightly enclosed like a mummy. This helps to reduce air circulation, store your body heat, and keep you extra warm and snug while sleeping.

Envelope Sleeping Bags (200gsm)

Also referred to as rectangular sleeping bags and by far the most popular choice for summer camping. Less restrictive than a mummy sleeping bag for a duvet-like feel.

Hooded Sleeping Bags (250gsm to 400gsm)

Envelope-shaped to give you plenty of room, but with a hood to keep your head and shoulders warm and snug. They're also thicker and warmer than the envelope and mummy.

Cotton Flannel Sleeping Bags (300gsm)

Looking for a luxury sleeping bag? With their soft, cosy lining, our flannel sleeping bags are a perfect option. They're also double quilted with offset stitching to minimise heat loss.

Double Sleeping Bags (250gsm to 300gsm)
